About us and our services

    The Temple of Kriya Yoga was founded by Goswami Kriyananda in the early 1960's. Goswami Kriyananda was the Spiritual Preceptor of the Temple for many decades until his passing in 2015. An internationally known author, he has written over a dozen books and produced an extensive library of lectures, seminars, and courses on Kriya Yoga, the doctrine of karma, astrology, yogic philosophy, meditation and mysticism. 

​    The mission of the Temple of Kriya Yoga is to extend the Kriya Dharma by assisting people’s spiritual, physical and intellectual needs.  It is our priority to offer our students quality services

 and help our student's gain a deeper knowledge in Kriya Yoga. The Temple offers variety of different yoga & meditation classes, home-study courses such as Professional Astrology, Mysticism, Kriya Yoga, Certification programs and many more. ​

Meditation Teacher Training


  The Meditation Teacher Training Program is a 12 month online home study course developed by Goswami Kriyananda. All the lessons and recordings for the course are located on the Temple's Internet education portal. You will submit your assignments online. They will be graded and you will receive personalized feedback.

Sunday Services


    We continue to serve the Temple community and during this time our Sunday noon meditation will be offered virtually.  The meditation may be offered with video or just audio; depending upon the computer technology available to the swamis who are teaching from their homes.  Some of the meditations will be streamed live, some will be pre-recorded.

Home-study programs

​     Over the years, Goswami Kriyananda taught comprehensive courses on many spiritual topics, both in person at the Temple of Kriya Yoga and online. These courses lasted for weeks, months or even years. Now you can share in these extensive teachings on such topics as astrology, meditation, reincarnation, the chakric system, and how to speed up your spiritual unfoldment. In addition to audio recordings, some of the courses feature written material for greater clarification.

Seminary Program

     The Kriya Yoga Seminary is a non-accredited theological school directed by the Temple of Kriya Yoga, a not-for-profit religious educational organization.
     The Kriya Yoga Seminary was developed Sri Goswami Kriyananda, and is comprised of eight quarters of online home study. The lessons vary in length for listening and for the required studying. Each student studies in a different manner, thus the amount of time spent on Seminary studies will vary. All homework is submitted online and students may communicate with their classmates via e-mail. Individual support is provided throughout your studies.

Spiritual Guidance


​    Spiritual guidance is the opportunity to communicate privately with a priest of the Temple.  You may ask any question about spiritual matters, or seek spiritual care.  All of our Swamis are graduates of the seminary program and have been trained in pastoral guidance.  You could also use this time to ask any questions about the Temple or the practices of Kriya Yoga.
