     The beginning of all freedom happens within your consciousness. But often, our own thinking and emotionality limit us. We believe there is no freedom.
At some time in each sentient life, there must be a new beginning. A new beginning means turning into yourself to find the base of existence. We need to return to a meditative state, the source of being.

     Liberation, self realization, God realization, is what it is all about. But often our energies are going outward, while the light of God is within us. If we turn toward God, God comes running to us. When you turn inward, you find that the God within flows outward.

     All beginnings start by becoming detached. Attachment causes anguish, pain, and confinement. We feel we have to “do” something. Yet, “sitting here, doing no thing, spring comes!” Let go, simply enjoy this moment, and begin afresh.

How do you find the spiritual path, walk the path, and, most difficult, finish the path?
We live in the wonderous garden of God, says Goswami Kriyananda. But it’s so easy for us to get lost in the evaluation of objects, that we never transcend them. The secret of finding the path is to understand that we want to find God, and not the gifts of God. To walk the path, we need above all, to establish peace. Peace comes from a state of consciousness produced by sadhana, or spiritual discipline. There are two places to be when walking the path. One is in your heart. If you have love in your heart, it’s capable of loving anyone. In the time element, the only place to be is now. You are living now. Here is the reality. When you can let go of objects and find peace, you attain the vision to see what is beyond the gifts of God. Then, after closing the senses and seeing with the third eye, decision comes. And at that point, says Goswami, you have begun your journey toward finishing the path.
