Everyone who teaches a yoga class at the Temple of Kriya Yoga has graduated from our extensive, in depth 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Program. Besides learning to teach the postures, students of our program study the philosophy of Kriya Yoga, as handed down through the centuries since Babaji reintroduced it to India.
Has been teaching yoga for more than 15 years in the Chicago Area. She's a graduate of the Temple's 200 and 300 hour Teacher Training Programs.
"I've been studying with Goswami Kriyananda since 2002, when I started assisting in the teacher training programs," Agnieszka says, "and for me they have been life changing experience.I'm excited to share these techniques and concepts with my students to help them find greater joy and meaning in everyday life."
Marc Esguerra, RYT 200
Marc is a Registered Nurse and 200 RYT who was trained at the Temple of Kriya Yoga. He has a passion for health and wellness ranging from, nutrition, exercise and movement, meditation and spirituality. He conducts his class with the understanding of the importance of balance, discipline, patience and compassion. He teaches to help each person realize their potential and ultimately live a more fulfilling life.
Diane Dombeck, RYT 500
For thirteen years Diane taught yoga through the Oak Park Park District concurrently, completing a two-year apprenticeship with Gabriel Halpern, Director of the Yoga Circle; where she was a member of their teaching staff for five years.
Wendy Mills, RYT 200
Wendy has been practicing yoga for 16 years. She graduated from Hatha Yoga teacher training at the temple, and taught Restorative Yoga at the Temple for two years. She also teaches at a major health club, at multiple locations around Chicago, and with seniors at the Oak Street Health Facility.
Larisa Eastman, RYT 200
Larisa graduated from the Temple's 200+ hour home study course and has been teaching Hatha Yoga since 2015, and has been a member of the Temple community and a student of the teachings of Goswami Kriyananda since the early 1980s.
Janet’s focus is about building a solid foundation in the basic poses. Her classes are appropriate for those who are newer to yoga as well as continuing students who are looking to refine their experience of the poses.
Teaching yoga combined with breathing techniques will improve flexibility, range of motion, ease, and relaxation.
Gosia Ryzewska, RYT 200
Gosia teaches traditional Hatha with strong principles of alignment (bones and muscles are the starting points in hatha yoga), breath and mindfulness. Her gentle approach takes students on the journey through self- exploration of physical body, astral body, and causal body which is significant in developing a deeper understanding of transcending everyday consciousness.
