Love Expects the Best-Unselfish Love Lectures
If you feel a lack of love, you’re not alone. Most of the world feels that way, Goswami Kriyananda says. The solution is to help people to love. “Love expects the best” is about building a bridge between you and other people, then crossing it to offer and find love.
Love abundantly and all the good things of life will come. If there is a need in you, it probably means the rest of the world has the same need. If you solve it for you but not for you alone, you can give it to all who want it.
Love also believes the best. What is the best? The best is giving, sharing, seeking cosmic consciousness. Any problem you’ve had, the vast majority of the world has also experienced. We are trying to solve the problems of life, then share the solutions.
“Love believes the best” means if someone treats me unkindly, I strive to understand them. Something happened in that person’s mind, and they were hurt. There is a misunderstanding. I shouldn’t expect them to cross over my bridge and understand me. I must cross over to them, even though they are not necessarily waiting with open arms. The important thing is, I built a bridge because I believe the best of them.
Open your life to that which you believe is most important. If you turn your consciousness toward love, love will fill your life.
